LayIt Privacy Policy

LayIt is provided by Simco LLC. This policy explains what information the app processes and why.

Data We Collect Or Process

• AI scan photos: When you intentionally photograph a tile or tile box for AI scanning, the selected photo is sent through our Cloudflare Worker proxy to Anthropic to recognize the pattern or extract tile specifications. Simco LLC does not retain the photo after the request is processed.
• Workspace photos: Used for client reports. These photos stay on your device unless you choose to export or share a report containing them.
• Project data: Tile configurations, room dimensions, colors, project names, and settings are stored locally on your device.
• Purchase information: Apple processes subscription purchases. LayIt receives entitlement status so it can unlock Pro features; Simco LLC does not receive your payment-card details.

Cloud Sync

Cloud Sync is not active in this release. If cloud sync is added later, the app and this policy will be updated before project data is synced between devices.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not require a user account in this release.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
• We do not collect your precise location.
• We do not serve ads.
• We do not sell personal data.

Third-Party Services

• Anthropic: Used for AI tile-pattern recognition and tile-label reading.
• Cloudflare Workers: Used to proxy AI requests without placing the AI API key in the app.
• Apple StoreKit: Used for subscription purchases and restore purchases.

Data Retention

• Local project data remains on your device until you delete it, delete the app, or clear app data.
• AI scan photos are processed for the requested scan and are not retained by Simco LLC after processing.

Your Choices And Deletion

AI scanning is optional; you can enter tile specifications manually and use the layout tools without sending a photo for AI analysis. You can delete saved projects inside LayIt. Deleting the app removes its locally stored projects, photos, and settings from the device. For privacy requests or questions about data handled by Simco LLC, contact us at the address below.

Children's Privacy

LayIt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
